Refund policy

Two parts to every fee

Every VisaLK price has two parts:
  • Government fee — what Sri Lanka Immigration charges (USD 0, 20, 50, or 55 depending on regime + passport). This money is paid directly to the Sri Lanka government and is not held by us.
  • VisaLK service fee — our $10 charge for preparing and submitting your application.

Full refund (gov fee + service fee)

You get everything back if:
  • You cancel before we have submitted the application to eta.gov.lk.
  • We fail to submit your application within 72 hours of payment because of an error on our side.
  • We submitted the wrong information (a typo we missed during verification) and immigration refused on that basis.

Service fee only (gov fee non-refundable)

You get our $10 back, but not the government fee, if:
  • Sri Lanka Immigration rejects your application for a reason that is yours (e.g. passport expires within 6 months, prior overstay, denied entry on a previous visa).
  • You change your mind after submission.

The government fee is non-refundable per Sri Lanka Immigration policy — we have no way to recover it on your behalf.

How to ask

Reply to your confirmation email or write to refunds@visa.lk with your reference number (the VLK-YYYY-XXXXX string). We aim to acknowledge within 1 business day. Approved refunds land in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Chargebacks

Please email us first. We will always refund a legitimate request — a chargeback only adds delay and a $25 processor fee that doesn't go to anyone useful.
